Gastrointestinal Endoscope Physicians’ Training College successful holds the cooperation contract signing ceremony on September 15
On September 15, the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA) Endoscope Physicians’ Training College, the first of its kind in, successfully held the ten-party contract signing ceremony at the Wuxi AstraZeneca China Business Innovation Center.
Though China’s endoscope technology started late, it has already reached the internationally leading level. Despite of rapid development of the endoscope technology, endoscope physicians are still lacking. Currently, the number of endoscope physicians in China cannot satisfy practical needs of endoscope technology. Against the backdrop, the Chinese Medical Doctor Association set up the Endoscope Physicians Training College, the first of its kind, at Changhai Hospital on May 13.
On January 20, 2018, the Endoscope Physicians’ Training College was introduced to the Wuxi AstraZeneca China Business Innovation Center under joint efforts of the CDMA, Wuxi Health and Family Planning Commission, and AstraZeneca.
So far, CDMA Gastrointestinal Endoscope Physicians’’ Training College has cooperated with ten partners famous in the gastrointestinal endoscope field, either at home or abroad. Besides, it has a training ground of 1,500 square meters, and is equipped with 14 sets of the latest endoscope devices. Its goal is to build a standard training system for endoscope physicians and bring up endoscope talents, thus providing vigorous support for development of China’s gastrointestinal endoscope.
Academician Dr. Li Zhaoshen, dean of the National Gastrointestinal System Clinical Medicine, once said, “Discover an early cancer, save an patient, and bring happiness to the whole family.” The Gastrointestinal Endoscope Physicians Training College attempts to improve the overall diagnostic level and endoscope techniques of domestic physicians and promote formation of a unified national training system for endoscope physicians.
In the recent three years, LeoMed has been devoted to promoting ERCP technique training via LeoMed Institute. So far, nearly 50 ERCP face-to-face training activities have been organized throughout China, leading to preliminary formation of a standard training system. As one of the ten contract signing parties, LeoMed feels that it is a great honor to contribute its share to endoscope physician training under the leadership of Academician Dr. Li Zhaoshen.
