After 50 years of development, ERCP has been widely accepted as an effective and mature method for minimally invasive treatment of biliopancreatic diseases. China has a large population and a large number of patients with biliopancreatic diseases. At least one million patients can choose ERCP treatment every year. However, at present, there are only over 3,000 ERCP doctors who can operate ERCP independently in China, and less than one fifth of patients can receive minimally invasive ERCP treatment every year.
In order to promote the standardized training of ERCP technology, Leo Medical established the LeoMed ERCP Training college that aimed at training more ERCP doctors, under the leadership of academician Dr. Li Zhao Shen. This training mode was highly recognized by the Chinese medical doctor association endoscopic training college， and has signed a cooperation agreement with Leo Medical, aiming to improve the development of endoscopic minimally invasive treatment technology nationwide and enable ERCP minimally invasive treatment to benefit more patients.
At the same time, LeoMed College has received strong support from hospitals across the country. Up to now, there are 15 LeoMed ERCP training college including: Shandong Provincial Third Hospital, North Theatre of Operations General Hospital, Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital, The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, The Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen, Wuhan No.1 Hospital etc. and more than 30 ERCP technical training sessions are held every year.
